Southern Hills Hospital hosts free Daddy Boot Camp classes
Las Vegas, Nev. — Southern Hills Hospital & Medical Center proudly offers Daddy Boot Camp, a FREE educational class just for new dads. The class is open to any new or expecting Fathers in the community; they do not need to be Hospital patients to participate. The first class will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 9:00am to 11:00am inside the Education Room inside Southern Hills Hospital located at 9300 W. Sunset Rd. Las Vegas, NV 89148. Boot Camp for New Dads is the most extensive program for first-time fathers in the United States. Coached and taught by fathers with their babies, Daddy Boot Camp enables new dads to step up to the tremendous challenge of being a dad and feel confident bringing a new baby home.
The class is a 2-hour workshop covering fatherhood and the needs of new mothers and babies. During the workshop, new (Rookie) dads discuss what they are most concerned or curious about as they become parents for the first time. The guys then discuss teamwork, gatekeeping, protector roles, and more. The Coach makes sure all the initial Rookie concerns are covered and dives into other essential topics like crying (babies and moms), postpartum mood disorders, how to manage family and visitors, safety, pets, and more.
Men having a safe space to gather with other first-time dads to discuss issues and have their questions answered is a powerful formula for fatherhood success. No question is dumb, and no topic is off-limits in this supportive, positive environment.
Men leave Boot Camp for New Dads more confident, prepared for fatherhood, and ready to work as a team with their partner.
