About Salman Akhtar, MD
Biography
Dr. Akhtar graduated from Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore, Pakistan.
He then continued his education at centers of academic excellence. His residency in Internal Medicine was at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He completed his three-year Cardiology fellowship at University of Texas, Health Science Center in partnership with Texas Heart Institute in Houston. He then trained in the subspecialty of Interventional Cardiology at Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas.
