Nick Johnson was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center in January 2026. He brings extensive healthcare leadership experience, most recently as Chief Operating Officer at Los Robles Health System, a multi-campus Level II Trauma Center in Thousand Oaks, California. In that role, he led operational and clinical excellence while expanding key service lines to meet community needs. Previously, Nick also served as Vice President of Operations at Los Robles, overseeing major renovations and expansions across emergency, surgical, imaging and specialty care services.

Nick began his healthcare career as a surgical technologist and later worked as a registered nurse, advancing through progressive leadership roles including Vice President of Surgery. Nick holds bachelor’s degrees from the University of the Incarnate Word and the University of Texas at Arlington, a master’s degree in nursing leadership and is a graduate of the HCA Executive Development Program.

Chief operations officer

Jason Desai was appointed Chief Operations Officer of Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center in July 2022. In his role, Jason oversees the operations of the emergency, department, surgical services department and other areas of the 265 bed facility.Prior to coming to Southern Hills, Jason served as Vice President of Operations for Mission Hospital, an 815 bed HCA Healthcare Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina.

Jason has also been with HCA Healthcare serving in various positions since 2012, starting as a radiology intern and transporter, and working his way up Vice President of Operations. Jason earned both his Master of Science Healthcare Leadership as well as his Bachelor of Science from the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado. He is also a part of HCA Healthcare's Executive Development Program, class of 2022.

Courtney Ogle was appointed Chief Nursing Officer of Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center in April 2025. As CNO, Courtney has executive oversight for all nursing and surgical operations.

Prior to coming to Southern Hills Hospital, Courtney served for over eight years at Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center in Las Vegas. She was most recently Chief Nursing Officer of Sunrise Children's Hospital. Prior to that she served as Assistant Chief Nursing Officer of Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center and Sunrise Children's.

Chief financial officer

Jason Schwan joined Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center in July of 2024. Jason has dedicated 22 years to HCA and brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the healthcare industry and finance.
Most recently, Jason served as the CFO of Lee's Summit Medical Center in Missouri, where he made remarkable strides in improving the hospital's financial performance.

Chief operating officer, behavioral health

Allison Zednicek joined Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center in February of 2024. With over two decades of invaluable experience in behavioral health management, Allison brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to our institution.

Allison earned her Master’s in Healthcare Administration from the University of Southern California, showcasing her dedication to helping others and advancing her healthcare knowledge. Additionally, she is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
