Las Vegas, Nev. — Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, Sunrise Children’s Hospital, MountainView Hospital and Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center, part of Sunrise Health System and HCA Healthcare, today announced the results of its annual We Show Up® for Our Communities days of service volunteer initiative. In alignment with National Volunteer Month, Sunrise Health System colleagues donated their time and expertise to help improve the health and well-being of the communities they serve.

We are proud of the time, compassion and expertise our teams shared with nonprofit organizations across Nevada during National Volunteer Month.”
Throughout the month of April, nearly 300 Sunrise Health System colleagues volunteered more than 1,200 hours with dozens of local nonprofit organizations across Southern Nevada. The initiative brought together colleagues from across the health system to support causes focused on food insecurity, education, youth services, community wellness and neighborhood revitalization.
Local volunteer impact included:
- 1,211 volunteer hours logged
- 278 colleagues volunteered
- 66 nonprofit organizations supported
Featured Volunteer Efforts
Baby’s Bounty Diaper Drive
Colleagues participated in a diaper drive benefiting Baby’s Bounty, helping provide essential diapers, wipes and supplies to families in need throughout Southern Nevada.
Lighthouse Charities
Volunteers partnered with Lighthouse Charities to support community outreach efforts focused on assisting vulnerable individuals and families across the Las Vegas valley.
Shine a Light Foundation
Colleagues worked alongside Shine a Light Foundation to support outreach efforts serving unhoused individuals living in the underground tunnels of Las Vegas, helping provide essential supplies and resources to vulnerable members of the community.
Across the nation, HCA Healthcare’s We Show Up for Our Communities initiative resulted in:
- 1,866 nonprofits supported across the nation
- 9,790 colleagues who volunteered to meet local needs
- More than 41,800 hours dedicated to volunteering in the communities HCA Healthcare serves
In total for 2025, HCA Healthcare colleagues volunteered over 350,000 hours, and more than 10,000 charitable organizations were supported through donations and volunteering across the country. Additionally, more than 1,300 colleagues served on a nonprofit board.
